The Georgia State Board of Education has mandated that all school systems include Human Health & Development education, including human sexuality and HIV/AIDS, in grades K-12. Fulton County has determined that the specific topic of human sexuality and HIV/AIDS will take place at the end of 5th grade for all Fulton County students.
This year, Ms. Marcelle Martin will again come to our school on May 2, 2019 to conduct the aforementioned presentations for MBES fifth grade students. She is a former Gwinnett County health teacher and has presented on "Always Changing, Always Growing" for over fifteen years across Fulton County elementary, middle and high schools.
